Event Submission Policy

Guidelines for submitting events to the New Mexico Artisan Collective calendar.

Last Updated: July 2026

Draft Policy

This document is a working draft for the New Mexico Artisan Collective and will be reviewed and finalized before official launch.

Who May Submit Events

Events may be submitted by members of the New Mexico Artisan Collective and by event organizers, market hosts, and community partners invited to contribute. You must have the authority to submit the event on behalf of its organizers.

What Types of Events Are Accepted

We welcome events that support the artisan community, including craft fairs, art markets, festivals, workshops, exhibitions, and pop-up shops. Events should be relevant to New Mexico makers and their customers.

  • Craft Fairs and Art Markets
  • Festivals and community gatherings
  • Workshops and classes
  • Exhibitions and shows
  • Pop-up shops

Review Timeline

Most event submissions are reviewed within 1–2 business days. Complex or incomplete submissions may take longer. You will be notified when your event is approved or if more information is needed.

Required Permissions

By submitting an event, you confirm that you have permission to share the event details and any associated images, and that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Image Ownership

You must own or have the rights to use any images you upload with your event. Images should represent the actual event or related work. Do not submit images that are copyrighted by others without permission.

Event Accuracy

Please provide accurate dates, times, locations, and details. Inaccurate information can mislead attendees and harm trust in the calendar. Update your event promptly if details change.

Event Updates

If an event is cancelled, rescheduled, or significantly changed, let us know so we can update or remove the listing. Keeping the calendar accurate benefits the whole community.

Event Removal

Events may be removed if they are found to be inaccurate, duplicate, cancelled, or no longer aligned with our community standards. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate with the submitter where appropriate.

Member Event Promotion

Members may receive additional promotion for their events through the network's marketing channels, depending on membership tier. Promotion does not alter the review process — all events must meet the same standards.

Reasons Submissions May Be Declined

  • Incomplete or inaccurate information
  • Images that are not owned or authorized
  • Events not relevant to the artisan community
  • Duplicate or spam submissions
  • Content that violates our Community Standards

Event submission does not guarantee publication. Our team reviews each submission to keep the calendar high-quality and trustworthy.
